The 3rd Annual Wyakin Warriors Guardian Ball, held at the Boise Centre on the Grove, was another success. Hundreds of local citizens and veterans attended the black-tie affair to honor our wounded veterans and to raise money for the worthwhile program.
The event raised enough money to put another local wounded military veteran through the Wyakin Warriors program that provides education, leadership training, job training and job placement. The four-year program costs $30,000. Seven new Wyakin Warriors were inducted as the highlight of the evening.
Alex and Amy, of Patriot Pawn & Gun in Star, Meridian and Homedale, attended the ball and donated a “Hunter’s Package” that included a Remington hunting rifle. The live-auction package raised $1,000 for the Wyakin Warriors thanks to a generous donation by the Yarnall’s (owners of four Dutch Bros. franchise locations in the Treasure Valley).
Please consider attending and supporting this worthwhile cause. You can find out more information about Wyakin Warriors here: http://www.wyakin.org
