The 3rd Annual Wyakin Warriors Guardian Ball, held at the Boise Centre on the Grove, was another success. Hundreds of local citizens and veterans attended the black-tie affair to honor our wounded veterans and to raise money for the worthwhile program.
The event raised enough money to put another local wounded military veteran through the Wyakin Warriors program that provides education, leadership training, job training and job placement. The four-year program costs $30,000. Seven new Wyakin Warriors were inducted as the highlight of the evening.
Alex and Amy, of Patriot Pawn & Gun in Star, Meridian and Homedale, attended the ball and donated a “Hunter’s Package” that included a Remington hunting rifle. The live-auction package raised $1,000 for the Wyakin Warriors thanks to a generous donation by the Yarnall’s (owners of four Dutch Bros. franchise locations in the Treasure Valley).
Please consider attending and supporting this worthwhile cause. You can find out more information about Wyakin Warriors here: http://www.wyakin.org
Support for gun rights is higher than it’s been in decades, according to the latest data from the Pew Research Center that signals a stunning turnaround in how Americans feel about the issue just two years after the Newtown school shooting.
The data shows a surge in support for gun rights as the vast majority of Americans view legal gun ownership as an important part of public safety.
Record gun sales seem to demonstrate that popular sentiment.

NRA-ILA, December 20, 2013
Back in March, we reported on Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper (D) signing into law the most sweeping anti-gun legislation in the history of the Centennial State, despite overwhelming opposition to the legislation. The new law bans magazines with a capacity of greater than 15 rounds, imposes a “gun tax” for a background check when purchasing a firearm, and criminalizes the private transfer of a firearm, among other things. The anti-gunners claimed these measures would keep guns out of the hands of bad guys.
Last week’s tragic shooting at Arapahoe High School in Centennial, Colorado, left one student in critical condition. The perpetrator, a senior at the school, was reported to have randomly shot 17-year-old Claire Davis as she sat innocently in the hallway. As bad as that was, things could have been much worse.
Information released this week indicates that the perpetrator was planning a much larger attack and was armed with a shotgun, about 125 rounds of ammunition, three Molotov cocktails and a machete.
According to a CNN story, Arapahoe County Sheriff Grayson Robinson said of the shooter, “His intent was evil, and his evil intent was to harm multiple individuals.”
On his arm, the perpetrator had written in indelible ink five classroom numbers and a phrase in Latin that translates to “the die has been cast,” according to the sheriff’s office.
But as reported in the Washington Times, the attacker’s mission was stopped short by the quick response of an armed deputy sheriff who was working as a resource officer at the school. Upon learning of the threat, the deputy ran from the cafeteria to the library, yelling for people to get down and identifying himself as a deputy sheriff. The horrific incident lasted only a total of 80 seconds and ended with the shooter turning his gun on himself in the library as the deputy was closing in on him.
“We know for a fact that the shooter knew that the deputy was in the immediate area and, while the deputy was containing the shooter, the shooter took his own life,” Sheriff Robinson said. Robinson said the deputy’s response was “a critical element to the shooter’s decision” to kill himself.
The Right to Bear Arms is really a Women’s Rights Issue, the right to self-defense.
We want to be your source for Firearm Transfers / Gun Transfers.
We have stores in Meridian, Star and Homedale and will send or receive a Firearm for $20 (you are responsible for the shipping cost on outgoing gun transfers).
Here’s how the process works: If you are ordering a gun / firearm on the internet, our FFL (Federal Firearm’s License) information may already be registered with the site or online store. If not, please contact us via phone or email and give us the contact information for the FFL or individual you are receiving the Firearm from. We will send a file copy of our FFL via fax or email for their records. Ask them to include a file copy of their FFL with your order and please ask them to include your name and phone number so we know who to contact when the gun / firearm arrives. If the person you are receiving the gun / firearm from is an individual, please make sure they include a copy of their government issued photo identification (current, not expired) with their current physical address (that must be on the government issued identification).
For outgoing FFL Transfers, please give us the contact information of the FFL Dealer you are sending the gun / firearm to. We will require them to send us a file copy of their FFL (which will include their ship to address) and we will include a file copy of our FFL in the shipment to them. We only transfer / ship to FFL Dealers. We require you to pay the shipping on the outgoing transfer and we offer packaging service to box up your item properly. You will save an expense by having your gun / firearm packaged for shipping yourself (but open, unsealed, so we can inspect the serial number).
If you are receiving a gun /firearm and using us for the Transfer, you will have to go through the normal Transfer process to legally receive the gun /firearm. You will be required to fill out a Form 4473 and present a government issued picture identification with your current address on it. If your identification doesn’t have your current physical address, you will be required to submit a secondary form of government issued document that includes your current physical address. The most popular secondary forms of identification are a state issued vehicle registration or Idaho Fish and Game license.
If you have a current Idaho Concealed Weapon’s License, you are not required to be called into the FBI NICS background check and once you complete the Form 4473 properly, you can leave with your gun / firearm.
For those who don’t have the Idaho CWL, we are required to call into the FBI NICS offices and within a few minutes they will either allow the transaction to proceed, they will delay it or they will deny the Transfer. A vast majority of the time, if the paperwork is in order and your background is clear, the Transfer process is smooth and takes about 10 minutes total.
